About the Printable Bible Quiz

The quiz is neatly laid out in a multiple-choice format, making it super easy for everyone to join in. Nope, no one needs to be a Bible scholar here, all it requires is that an educated guess is made.

There are 15 questions in total.

I’ve got questions on various topics that touch on the key events of the Easter story. From the emotional Last Supper to Jesus’ body to the discovery of Jesus’ tomb by Mary Magdalene. Each question was created to guide you and your kids through the significant moments of the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

You won’t be left scratching your head for answers. Lucky for you, I’ve included an answer key with the accompanying Bible verse.

And at the bottom of the quiz, you’ll be able to mark the score depending on how many questions were answered correctly.

I’ve also included a separate page for Tie Breaker questions. More on that further down.

How to Use the Easter Bible Trivia Quiz

Let’s break down how you can turn this fun activity into an unforgettable moment that the entire family can enjoy.

First off, download the quiz and be sure to print enough copies for everyone who wants in.

Now at first glance, the bible quiz questions may just resemble another test that your kids will likely start turning up their noses at.

However, you can make this Easter Bible trivia game engaging for all ages. Here’s how…

Easter Trivia for Kids – Making it Fun

Split into Teams

It could be parents versus kids, taking turns drawing names from a hat, girls vs boys etc. This extra layer of friendly competition already adds some excitement.

If playing with teams, be sure to establish the allotted time for teams to discuss their answer. This collaborative effort sparks conversations about the Easter story which encourages learning and reflection even more.

Creative Responses

Instead of simply marking the multiple choice answer, players could act out their answer… for instance, if their answer choice is ‘Jesus prayed on the mountain,’ the player could do body motions pretending to pray on a mountaintop and the other team could try to get what that player was acting out… kind of similar to the Taboo game or Charades.

Add a Rewards System

Every correct answer could become a reward offering an Easter-themed small prize… such as a bookmark, piece of candy etc. You could even advertise a bonus bigger prize if they get a certain amount of questions right in total. Some other rewards may be…

  • Deciding on the next dinner or movie
  • Extra screen time,
  • Staying up later past bedtime…

You have total creative reign here.

Incorporate Media

On some of the harder questions, before the question is answered, you could play a short YouTube video clip that tells that piece of the story.

At the end of the quiz, go over the answers together as a family. This is a great moment to discuss any surprises or something new that was learned. At the end of the day, it’s not just about who won or lost; it’s about what was discovered together along the way.

Finally, make the quiz a part of your new Easter tradition. Each year, as you revisit these questions and possibly add new ones, you’ll build a treasure of family memories centered around faith with learning mixed in.

What About Tie Breakers?

Since this trivia printable is centered on the theme of Easter, you can use other Bible knowledge-based questions as tie-breaker questions.

This becomes fair game because they’re questions that will catch everyone off guard since they don’t really have much to do with the Easter theme itself.

One way to make the tie-breaker questions even more challenging is to give a response without the multiple choice options.

Other Fun Ways to Celebrate Easter

We know Easter isn’t just about the Easter bunny or chocolate eggs. But let’s be honest, the kids love it and we want to make sure we find ways to keep the holiday fun for them.

Here are some fun, and slightly unconventional ways to celebrate Easter with kids, blending tradition with a little twist:

Revamp the Classic Easter Egg Hunt

Sure, the traditional easter egg hunt is exciting enough, but why not add a unique twist? Hide clues inside each egg that leads to the next, turning it into a treasure hunt that tells the Easter story.

This way, while the kids are on the lookout for their next surprise, they’re also getting a fun, interactive lesson on the significance of Easter weekend.

Easter Bunny’s Workshop

Instead of just having the Easter bunny drop off a basket, why not turn your home into the Easter bunny’s workshop for the day?

Set up a craft station where kids can make their own Easter decorations or even their own bunny ears. It’s a creative way to spend time together and add that personal touch to your Easter decorations.

Farm Visit on Easter Weekend

If you’re looking for a way to challenge the conventional Easter celebration, consider taking the family to a local farm. It’s a great opportunity for kids to learn about baby animals and the cycle of life, tying back to the theme of renewal and resurrection that Easter embodies.

Easter-Themed Story Time

Gather around with some Easter-themed books that tell stories about the Easter story from the Bible. It’s a calm and reflective way to spend time together, soaking in the deeper meaning of the holiday.

Cook Special Foods Together

Easter is known for its special foods, from hot cross buns to lamb dishes. Why not get the kids involved in cooking or baking these dishes? I enjoy lamb, but never knew about the hot cross buns… a fun recipe to get the kids involved in creating.

Volunteer for an Easter Event

Show kids the value of giving back by volunteering together at a local charity or church event this Easter. Churches are always in need of extra volunteers… Whether it’s helping to organize an Easter egg hunt for less fortunate children or serving meals, it’s a powerful way to teach compassion and community service.

Wrap Up

As we wrap up our journey through this Easter season using the Easter trivia games printable, it’s hard not to reflect on how a simple activity can bring about so much joy and faith into our homes and hearts.

I’ve always believed that teaching moments that are wrapped in fun are the ones that stick. Whether it’s being gathered around the kitchen table or in the cozy corners of a Sunday School room, this trivia brings the Easter story to life in a way that’s great for both kids and adults.

The printable is offered as a digital file in pdf format so that no matter where you are, you can access the questions. I’ve also included online quizzes right here within this article for more convenience.

Here’s to a celebration that educates, entertains, and enlightens. May your Easter be filled with blessings, knowledge, and lots of closeness.
