I’ve always been a fan of using word search puzzles as a supplement when homeschooling my children. It was a no brainer for me to use Bible word search printables when teaching them about the different Bible stories.
Beyond the benefit of exercising their brains, I think using Bible story word search puzzles help the story come alive for them.
The different words help improve their vocabulary and spelling skills.

Creation Story
I think it’s just fascinating to learn about how everything around us was created. And when you really observe the world we live in, you would think it took so much longer to create.
God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. This word search puzzle captures that entire story in one page.
Adam and Eve
The story of Adam and Eve introduces the first humans on earth. There’s a lot to learn from this story in terms of temptation, responsibility and consequences.
This is one of those foundational stories that remind us why we needed a Savior in the first place, so I’d highly recommend digging into this one with your kids.
This Adam and Eve word search focuses on the key elements of their story.
Cain and Abel
The sons of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel… The story of Cain and Abel exemplifies the human emotions we all experience at one time or another – jealousy and anger.
This story shows us sibling rivalry and how it’s important to make good decisions.
This word search printable centers on Cain and Abel using a more gentler approach for kids.
Noah’s Ark
Noah was chosen by God to build an ark that could withstand the flood that God was going to bring about. The world had turned so sinful and dishonoring to God so God basically wanted a do-over so to speak.
Noah was righteous which is why God decided to save him and his family.
You can use this word search puzzle to teach kids about obedience, faith and God’s promises.
Tower of Babel
If your kids ever wondered why there are so many languages in the world today, then this story is a must to introduce them to.
It tells about how the people of the world were at one point speaking the same language, and they came together to build a tower tall enough to reach the heavens… a tower which would cause them not to have to rely on God.
But God was not having that. It is not how he intended for His world to be so He shut it down by confusing their languages.
Use this word search to teach about communication and teamwork.
The Story of Abraham
There’s so much to unpack when it comes to Abraham and his story.
But one thing’s for certain, his story encompasses faith, trust and promise.
Help your children learn about the powerful bond between Abraham and God using this word search.
Jacob and Esau
A story with yet another set of brothers (twins at that) where some sibling rivalry was also present.
Esau was the oldest of the two and because of that, it was his birthright to be blessed with his father’s inheritance.
Jacob wanted that birthright and performed a strong act of deception disguising himself as his brother Esau when it came time to receive the blessing from their dad.
Introduce your children to this story of Jacob and Esau and teach them about choices, consequences and forgiveness.
Joseph’s Dreams
Joseph was one of Jacob’s 12 sons and had vivid dreams, one dream that hinted at his future greatness.
It’s beginning to feel like a common theme where jealousy is always involved amongst brothers.
Joseph had jealous brothers who ultimately sold him to Ishmaelites.
He was gifted with the ability to interpret dreams which was a pivotal moment in his life.
Joseph’s story is one that could truly take up many pages so I’ve really had to condense this into one page. But his story is one that kids should definitely read about in the Bible. Then you can use this word search to reinforce the story.
Moses and the Burning Bush
Moses was another who was called by God by way of the burning bush to free the Israelites from the Egyptian bondage.
However, Moses was doubtful in his ability to accomplish this, but God offered guidance.
This word search would be a great addition when teaching about Moses as you can teach about what it means to be called, teach about faith and having courage.
The Ten Plagues
This story is the definition of when God says move, you’d better move or He’s going to make you move. His plan will always prevail.
God was determined to free the Israelites from slavery, but Pharaoh was not in agreement with that plan and refused.
God sent plague after plague upon Pharaoh and his people to make His point until Pharaoh ultimately agreed to free the Israelites.
If your kids ever questioned what God’s power looks like, be sure to use this word search puzzle and teach them about the 10 plagues.
