Adam and Eve Word Search Printable
If kids haven’t heard of any other Bible story, a lot of them can tell you all about Adam and Eve and how she ate the forbidden “apple.”
I created this Adam and Eve word search printable to help kids solidify their knowledge of this Bible story. Even if they’ve heard the story before, completing this word search puzzle can give them a confidence boost to confirm what they already know.
The story of Adam and Eve is one of the foundational stories as a Christian. It helps us understand the nature of sin and God's desire for a relationship with us. It sets the stage for the rest of the Bible, highlighting our need for redemption and the promise of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Your kids may be too young to understand this concept right now, but exposure to the story sets them up for future application and understanding. My kids personally struggle with connecting the Bible stories to their real lives, but it may just be an age thing right now.

Weave the Printable into Your Regular Bible Study
The word search can be a great supplement to your regular Bible study sessions. Here are a few ideas on how to incorporate it:
Story Recap: Whenever I do an activity with my kids, I like to first familiarize them with the story. You can do this one of a few ways:
- Read the story right here in this article
- Use a children’s Bible to read aloud the Bible verses in Genesis 2
- Watch a short summary video on YouTube
After they listen to the story then complete the word search puzzle, ask your children to retell that entire story in their own words to ensure they understand the key points.
Discussion: Discuss the key components of the story, such as how they were created, the Garden of Eden, the serpent, and the consequences of Adam and Eve’s actions.
Ask questions to encourage your children to think a bit deeper about the story and how its lessons can apply in their own lives.
Use the word search puzzle for additional reinforcement.
Completing the Adam & Eve Word Search Puzzle
After you’ve given your kids the word search printable, explain that the words they will be searching for are all related to the story they just learned.
Explain that they’ll read the short story on the page and every bolded word is a word they will be searching for in the box of letters.
After they find a word, they can use a pen, pencil, marker or whatever to cross that word out.

The Story
Here is the story that is on the word search sheet that your kids will be completing.
“God formed Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed life into him. He placed Adam in the beautiful Garden of Eden. Here, Adam was tasked with caring for the garden and was free to eat from any tree, except for one: the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
God didn’t want Adam to be alone, so He created Eve from one of Adam’s ribs to be his companion. Together, they lived in harmony and enjoyed the fruits of the garden; however, this peace didn’t last long.
A serpent approached Eve and tempted her by questioning God’s command about the forbidden tree. The serpent promised that eating the fruit would not lead to death but would open their eyes to know good and evil like God.
Eve was convinced by the serpent and took the fruit and ate it, then gave some to Adam who also ate it. Immediately, their eyes were opened and they realized they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.
Their sin brought fear and shame, and when God walked in the garden, Adam and Eve hid from Him. When God confronted them, God declared the consequences for their actions was that they had to leave the Garden of Eden.”
